Prayer Centre Inside Jatonet Gardens: A Serene Place to Appreciate Our Lord
In the midst of nature, away from the noise and pressures of everyday life, there is a growing place of peace, reflection and prayer. Jatonet Kenya is delighted to announce the beginning of a Prayer Centre inside Jatonet Gardens, a humble and peaceful space created for people who desire to spend quiet time with God, meditate, pray and appreciate the beauty of His creation.

The Prayer Centre is located deep inside the beautiful bamboo forest within the Jatonet Campsite, along Khalaba Road, off Mumias Road, approximately 4 kilometres from Bungoma Town Centre. Surrounded by trees, fresh air, birds and the calming sounds of nature, the centre provides a unique environment where visitors can step away from the busy world and enjoy peaceful conversations with God.
A Place of Peace, Prayer and Meditation
Discover the tranquil pathway at Jatonet Gardens, a serene bamboo forest designed to immerse visitors in nature's calming embrace. This peaceful route invites you to engage in prayer, meditation, and reflection, offering a perfect setting for meaningful conversations with God. As you stroll along the path, let the gentle rustle of bamboo leaves and the soft whispers of the breeze guide you into a deeper state of mindfulness and connection. Experience the serenity and inspiration that this natural environment provides, making it an ideal sanctuary for introspection and spiritual growth.
In today's fast-moving world, many people long for a quiet place where they can slow down, reflect and reconnect with God. The Jatonet Gardens Prayer Centre was started with this need in mind.
Our vision is simple: to provide a serene, undisturbed environment where people can interact with God while appreciating and interacting with nature.
The natural environment surrounding the Prayer Centre creates a peaceful atmosphere for individual prayer, meditation, Bible study and spiritual reflection. Visitors can take time away from crowded places and daily responsibilities and enter an environment designed by nature itself.
Deep within the bamboo forest, the movement of the trees, the fresh natural air and the peaceful surroundings create a unique atmosphere for reflection. We believe that nature reminds us of the greatness of God and gives us an opportunity to appreciate His wonderful creation.
The Prayer Centre welcomes individuals, families, visitors, volunteers and groups who desire a peaceful place to pray, meditate and seek spiritual renewal.
Appreciating God Through Nature
Jatonet Kenya has always valued the importance of nature, conservation and community development. The establishment of the Prayer Centre brings together these important values by creating a space where people can appreciate God while also appreciating the environment around them.
Nature has a special way of calming the heart and creating an atmosphere of reflection. At Jatonet Gardens, visitors are surrounded by the beauty of trees, plants and the peaceful environment of our campsite.
The Prayer Centre encourages visitors to see conservation not only as an environmental responsibility but also as an opportunity to appreciate the beauty and blessings of God's creation.
We believe that caring for nature and caring for people can go hand in hand. As we pray together, we also encourage love for the environment, responsible conservation and appreciation of the natural resources that God has entrusted to humanity.
Building a Prayerful and Caring Community
The Prayer Centre is not only about individual prayers. Our greater focus is to help build a prayerful, loving and caring community.
We believe that faith should bring people together and inspire positive action. Through prayer, fellowship and community interaction, we hope to encourage people to support one another and contribute towards a stronger and more compassionate society.
Our activities and vision include:
Leading a Prayerful Community
We aim to create an environment where people can come together in prayer, share encouragement and strengthen one another spiritually.
Visitors are welcome to spend quiet personal time in prayer or participate in prayer sessions and spiritual conversations with others.
Our desire is to grow a community that appreciates the power of prayer and understands the importance of encouraging one another through life's different challenges.
Community Interaction and Support for the Vulnerable
Prayer must also be accompanied by love and practical care for others.
Through community interaction, the Prayer Centre seeks to encourage visitors, volunteers and well-wishers to support vulnerable members of society and participate in acts of kindness.
We believe that when communities come together in love, they can make a meaningful difference in the lives of people facing challenges.
As the Prayer Centre continues to grow, we hope to create more opportunities for visitors and volunteers to participate in community empowerment activities and initiatives that bring hope and support to those in need.
Sharing Bible Teachings and the Word of God
Another important focus of the Prayer Centre is sharing the Word of God.
Through visitors, volunteers and servants of God who visit Jatonet Gardens, we hope to provide Bible teachings, encouragement and spiritual guidance to people who are seeking to grow in their faith.
There are many people in our communities who desire spiritual encouragement and a better understanding of God's Word. The Prayer Centre hopes to become a humble platform where the Word of God can be shared through fellowship, personal interaction, prayer and Bible teaching.
We welcome visitors and volunteers who are willing to share the message of hope, love and faith with others.
Prayer, Community Empowerment and Love for Nature
The Jatonet Gardens Prayer Centre is founded on the belief that spiritual growth, community empowerment and environmental conservation can work together.
Our focus is to appreciate God together while promoting love, kindness, community empowerment and conservation of nature.
We want the Prayer Centre to become a place where visitors leave spiritually encouraged and also inspired to make a positive difference in their communities.
Prayer can inspire hope.
Hope can inspire action.
Action can transform communities.
Through this vision, we hope to encourage people to care for one another, support vulnerable individuals, promote positive values and protect the natural environment around us.
Guided by Mama Mary Kiprotich
The Prayer Centre is coordinated by Mama Mary Kiprotich, a born-again servant of God who has a deep appreciation for nature and a passion for prayer.
Mama Mary warmly welcomes visitors to the Prayer Centre and helps guide them into moments of prayer and spiritual reflection. Every day, she dedicates her time and commitment to creating a welcoming and prayerful atmosphere for those who visit the centre.
Her love for God and appreciation of the natural environment make the Jatonet Gardens Prayer Centre a unique place where faith and nature meet.
Through her leadership and dedication, visitors are encouraged to take time to pray, reflect and appreciate the presence of God in their lives and in the beauty of the natural environment surrounding them.
Mama Mary believes that every person deserves an opportunity to have a peaceful moment with God, regardless of their background or circumstances.
Her prayer is that the centre will continue growing into a place where many people find peace, encouragement, hope and spiritual renewal.
A Prayer Centre Taking Baby Steps
The Jatonet Gardens Prayer Centre is still in its early stages. We are taking baby steps, but we have faith and hope for what the future holds.
Currently, the natural bamboo environment provides the beautiful setting for prayer and meditation. However, as more visitors come and the Prayer Centre continues to grow, there is a need to establish a more organised and coordinated shelter.
Our future focus is to construct a simple and peaceful prayer shelter that will protect visitors during rainy weather and on days of heavy sunshine.
The shelter will make it possible for visitors to continue enjoying the Prayer Centre comfortably throughout different weather conditions while maintaining the natural and peaceful character of the environment.
We hope that the future development of the Prayer Centre will remain environmentally friendly and blend naturally with the beautiful surroundings of Jatonet Gardens.
Supported Through Goodwill and Generosity
The Prayer Centre is a community-oriented initiative and currently depends greatly on the goodwill of visitors, friends, volunteers and well-wishers.
We warmly welcome individuals and organisations who would like to support the growth of this peaceful initiative.
Support can be offered in different ways, including:
- Donations of building materials for the future prayer shelter.
- Support for benches and seating facilities.
- Materials that can improve the comfort and safety of visitors.
- Bible and Christian learning materials.
- Environmental conservation materials.
- Volunteer support and spiritual mentorship.
- Community outreach and empowerment support.
- Any other material or financial contribution that can help the Prayer Centre grow.
Every contribution, whether big or small, can help us take another step towards creating a better environment for prayer, meditation and community service.
We believe that the Prayer Centre can grow through the collective goodwill of people who share the vision of faith, love, community empowerment and environmental conservation.
